Wrexham, a Welsh borders town, is situated about 12 miles south of Chester. With a borough population of over 130,000, Wrexham has grown considerably over recent years. Always a mixture of backgrounds and cultures, the recent expansion to the EU has seen Wrexham become a popular destination for all nationalities. We at Mission Wrexham are thrilled at the multi-cultural opportunities that now exist and seek to serve within them.
Adding the context to this contemporary mix is a rich heritage and fascinating history. Of particular note is the 16th Century church, St Giles, that forms an exciting centre piece to the town. Blending old and new, Wrexham has a two centres for Higher Education and boasts a shopping centre and nightlife that attracts people from miles around.
Wrexham's churches are no less noteworthy, with the vast majority committed to working together write across the borough. As a result we are blessed with a significant unity which allows us to see such diverse projects as Street Pastors, Working with the Roofless as well as hosting large events for the benefit of the whole town.
We are grateful for your interest in our town and work of Mission Wrexham and invite you to browse the site at your leisure. Why not start at our What's On page to see what's current.
