  • Our final PRAYER WEEK SERVICE on Sunday evening at 5.30pm (full flyer here). At this final service our MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY OF PRAYING CITIZENS will be commissioned for the year 2010-2011.
  • Each of these Wrexham based events take place at the Wrexham Salvation Army Citadel.

We do hope you can join us at one of these events!

    Praying Citizens

A community of those committed to pray for our town each day

Members of this new and increasing community receive suggested topics to pray about each week. In addition, Mission Wrexham publishes a Town Prayer News each term providing information about mission projects and churches in the town.

We ask members of the community of prayer to use these resources in their daily prayers for the town and the church in the town. For further information about this community, or to make enquiries about how to join it, please see this pdf flyer.

    Prayer Week 2009

The first week of June 2009 was a wonderful 24/7 Prayer week at Regent Street Methodist Church and we owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Richard the minister, the church stewards and members who have made everyone so welcome and have done such a fantastic job stewarding the buildings which so many have entered. It has been a busy week with some memorable moments. We thank God for the blessing of the fellowship of prayer in our town, and for the many 'conversations with God' we had during the week.

Many hundreds of school children visited the church during the week to learn about prayer and the many Christian ministries in our community and abroad. Amongst the other highlights were our opening and closing services, morning devotions, a prayer for healing service, and musical meditations led by a team from the Salvation Army. On Wednesday evening there was a townwide prayer meeting and the Street Pastors Commisioning Service attended by the Maor of Wrexham. Friday night was youth night with many teenagers staying right through the night in the church, and the week saw the launch of 'Praying Citizens' a new inititaive whereby Mission Wrexham helps local Christians in their commitment to pray every day for the life of the Borough, its people and the work of the local church.
